about me

I've lived in Northwest Arkansas for 30+ years and have watched it grow into a vibrant, thriving community. I've been practicing yoga for 14 years and teaching for two. My passion for the practice blossomed after the birth of my son, when I found myself in the grip of postpartum depression and anxiety. I had experienced similar mental health issues after the birth of my daughter, but this time, as a newly single mother, I knew I needed to find a sustainable way to manage my health so I could be the best provider for my children. The practice enabled me both physically and mentally to be better equipped to manage my health.

what to expect

I firmly believe we have all we need within us to not only survive, but to thrive. The practice of yoga helps peel back the layers and harness that inner resiliency, allowing us to live more empowered lives with open hearts. My goal as a teacher is to facilitate the discovery of the self in my students through conscious breathing and mindful movement. I use an eclectic mix of music in my classes, ranging from Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young and David Bowie, to Arcade Fire, Trevor Hall and MC Yogi ... and an occasional Gregorian chant.

other passions

In addition to being a yoga teacher, I'm also a hairstylist at Earth Head Salon, an eco-friendly salon in Rogers. When I'm not practicing yoga or behind the chair in the salon, I'm spending time outdoors with my children and chickens, or hunting mushrooms in the forest.
