about me


I began practicing yoga over 13 years ago, when I found myself 70 pounds overweight and depressed. Yoga was the only thing I could do physically that didn't hurt me. I lost 10 pounds in a few weeks and was hooked. Yoga saved me and brought me to a place of self-acceptance, which I needed before I could move on to a healthier life. I haven’t stopped doing yoga since. I am proof that yoga is for every-body!

what to expect


My teaching style is inclusive, outgoing, encouraging and focuses on fostering community within each class. I will never ask my students to do something I'm unwilling to do myself. My musical selections range from smooth, relaxing tones, to spa-type fluid music, upbeat techno and electronica.

I've been happily married for 15 years to my love, and we have a little boy that keeps us busy. I have two dachshunds and a love for animals, coffee, books, nature, hiking and, most of all, family time.
